fromword.com is a portfolio website operated by FromWord for the purpose of presenting its work, projects and professional services.
The website does not provide user accounts, newsletter subscriptions, e-commerce services or contact forms, and does not directly request personal information from visitors.
During normal website operation, certain technical information may be processed automatically in order to deliver the website correctly and maintain its security and functionality.
This information may include technical data relating to the browser, device, requests made to the website and other information normally transmitted when browsing a website.
Such information is processed only where necessary for the operation, security and delivery of the website.
The website is created and hosted using Framer, provided by Framer B.V.
Framer provides the technical infrastructure necessary to deliver the website and may process technical information as necessary for the operation, security and performance of its services.
FromWord also uses Framer’s built-in analytics functionality to obtain aggregate information about website usage, such as page views, traffic sources, approximate geographic information and device types.
Framer Analytics is designed to operate without cookies or persistent identifiers and provides FromWord with anonymized website usage statistics.
The website contains links that allow visitors to contact FromWord via email and access FromWord’s profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn.
Clicking an email link opens the visitor’s email application and does not itself transmit personal data through the website.
Links to Instagram and LinkedIn redirect visitors to the respective third-party platforms. Once visitors access these platforms, any collection or processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policies and practices of the respective service providers.
FromWord does not receive personal data simply as a result of a visitor clicking these external links.
If a visitor voluntarily contacts FromWord by email, Instagram, LinkedIn or another communication channel, the information provided through that communication may be processed for the purpose of responding to the request and, where applicable, managing a potential or existing professional relationship.
The legal basis for such processing may include taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, performance of a contract and FromWord’s legitimate interest in responding to professional communications.
FromWord does not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking purposes.
The website may use technical technologies strictly necessary for its operation, security and delivery. These technologies do not require consent where they are strictly necessary for providing the website.
Framer’s built-in analytics system operates without cookies or persistent identifiers and is used to obtain anonymous, aggregate information regarding website usage.
For this reason, the website does not request consent through a cookie banner for the use of Framer Analytics.
Should FromWord introduce non-essential cookies or tracking technologies in the future, this Policy will be updated and, where required by applicable law, such technologies will not be activated before obtaining the visitor’s consent.
The website may use typefaces provided through Google Fonts.
Where possible, fonts and other website assets may be delivered as part of the website infrastructure. Depending on the technical implementation, requests necessary to provide these resources may involve the processing of technical connection data.
No Google Fonts functionality is intentionally used by FromWord for advertising or profiling purposes.
Images, graphics, project materials and other visual content displayed on the website are owned by FromWord or used with the appropriate authorization.
These assets are displayed solely for portfolio and informational purposes and are not used to collect or track visitor information.
Where personal data is processed in connection with the website, it may be processed for the following purposes:
providing, maintaining and securing the website;
obtaining anonymous and aggregate information regarding website usage;
responding to communications voluntarily initiated by visitors;
managing potential or existing professional relationships;
complying with applicable legal obligations.
Depending on the specific processing activity, the legal basis may be the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the visitor, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation or the legitimate interests of FromWord in operating and securing its website and conducting its professional activities.
Personal data may be processed by third-party service providers where necessary for the technical operation of the website or the provision of related services.
In particular, FromWord uses Framer as its website platform and hosting provider.
Such providers process information according to their respective roles and applicable data protection requirements.
FromWord does not sell visitors’ personal data.
Some technical service providers or their infrastructure providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards required under applicable data protection legislation are applied where necessary.
Personal data voluntarily provided by email is retained only for as long as necessary to respond to the communication, manage the relevant professional relationship and comply with applicable legal, accounting or contractual obligations.
Technical information processed in connection with website operation is retained according to the purposes for which it is processed and the retention practices of the relevant technical service providers.
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), individuals may, where applicable, exercise their rights regarding their personal data, including the right to:
request access to their personal data;
request rectification of inaccurate data;
request erasure of personal data;
request restriction of processing;
object to processing;
request data portability, where applicable;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Requests concerning personal data may be sent to hello@fromword.com.
Individuals also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
FromWord may update this Privacy & Cookie Policy where necessary to reflect changes to the website, the services used or applicable legal requirements.
